A tentative mariagge of art and science
I'm a researcher with a variety of interests. I currently
works as a researcher at the Italian National Council of Research (CNR)
on topics devoted to the characterization and development of new
materials. I graduated in
chemistry in 1999 with a thesis on magnetic behavior of ternary
compounds based on rare earth elements. After working in the chemical
industry in an R & D lab I returned to university to get a PhD in
chemical sciences in 2005. I spent a year in Norway as a post-doctoral
researcher on statistical analysis and during my PhD I spent some time
studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, and this influenced my
passion for art. I'm interested in 3d since 2005. My interests also focus on lighting and rendering, I'm a teacher for cgmasteracademy.com for scientific visualization
